My work focuses on establishing a high-throughput method of screening evolved R. toruloides strains for improved short-chain fatty acid tolerance and utilisation. I aim to screen and characterise strains using automated cultivation systems and apply analytical methods to relate fatty acid consumption to cellular growth performance.
